Oneplay Win Elevates Lagos Driver From Poverty

On 25th April 2025, Femi and the Gang from Nigeria Info 99.3 FM’s Game On show called Michael, a middle-aged driver from Lagos. He was in a supermarket shopping when the unexpected call came through.

Michael had played Oneplay games since November 2024, making it a weekly ritual. Though he’d nearly lost hope of winning, his persistence paid off when the presenters delivered news he never expected: he had won ₦150,000.

“He’d nearly lost hope of winning… it’s like an elevation from poverty”

Thrilled, Michael plans to buy a smart television with the money. He urges skeptics to try the game, assuring them it’s genuine. When asked how winning feels, he replied, “It’s like an elevation from poverty.”
